Bilyana Safranko

Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Stories are a way of gaining greater understanding and connection with others and ourselves. I have always been fascinated with stories and my curiosity around people’s stories led to a fascination to learn more about how people think, feel and behave. This led me to study Psychology and Social Work to gain more knowledge, skills and experience in helping others and to learn about myself.

Over the past 20 years I have gained professional clinical experience in the United Kingdom and Australia, providing counselling, professional supervision, coaching, mentoring and psychological services to help people transform and improve their lives.

I am passionate about nurturing self compassion, and inspiring personal growth and development. I am committed to the emotional wellbeing of my clients and work collaboratively in a respectful and non-judgemental way to help them gain better understanding of themselves and improve their quality of life and relationships and live with purpose, meaning and gratitude.

I utilise the research and work of Dr Brene Brown on vulnerability and shame in my individual work with clients and run groups on the Daring Way and Rising Strong as a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. This approach helps people to understand and work through their story to develop shame resilience skills so they can live wholehearted lives.
